A Worm’s Eye View

  • Kaneko 1111 Jones Street Omaha, NE, 68102 United States (map)

The subtle intricacies of our surroundings are often overlooked, but in the world of autism, details often hold more importance than the big picture.

Have you ever seen morning dew shimmer on a spider’s web, or held a leaf to your eye to reveal its tiny, branching veins? The subtle intricacies of our surroundings are often overlooked, but in the world of autism details can hold more importance than the big picture. A Worm’s Eye View celebrates this perspective revealing the miraculous in the mundane.

In this 360° video installation, filmmaker Adam Larsen brings the spectacular details of the great outdoors inside. With the use of six high definition projectors and surrounding screens, viewers are fully immersed in the colors, textures, and shapes that together make the big picture possible.
