Common Senses welcomes writers of all disciplines to the Benson Theatre for a curated poetry showcase featuring activist, educator, and poet Lateef McLeod and participants from the Common Senses writing workshop series led by Nebraska Writers Collective Teaching Artists Ben Wenzl and Bridigt Pollpeter.
Readers will share their work with powerful themes like voice and identity, and audience members will have the opportunity to engage with writers living and creating at the intersection of ability and poetry. You won't want to miss this evening of community, joy, and creativity!
Poetry Readings

Location: UNO's Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center
Common Senses is excited to partner with Nebraska Writers Collective to host poetry workshops led by local poets Bridgit Pollpeter and Ben Wenzl, along with activist and poet Lateef McLeod. These are generative workshops, meaning Lateef will provide carefully curated prompts for attendees to respond to in whichever modality or method works best for them. Individuals are invited to share their work at a Showcase at the Benson Theatre on May 13th.
